They say if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait an hour and it will change. That certainly seemed to be the case today. We had heavy rains overnight and early this morning (on top of the remaining snow on the ground), then it changed to sleet in the afternoon, and finally, in the early evening, to snow.
It's 10:23 p.m., and the snow is still falling with brisk winds blowing it across the ground, making the roads very snow-covered and slippery. My guess is we've had 2-3" of snow so far tonight. I hope it ends soon. Spring can't come soon enough for me, and I know my family echoes those feelings.
I'm so thankful that my hubby, daughter and I had the opportunity to spend a week in Florida 2 weeks ago. On gloomy days like today, I'm able to revisit our Florida photos and remember the warmer temperatures, crystal clear aqua water, and the abundance of palm trees and nature. We were there for the last two weeks of January and the first week of February too...and now we are heading back to the Tampa area on April 5th for my daughter's wedding! Our spring in the U.P. won't be here until the end of April so it will be nice to get another week in the sun before we return to Michigan. But we really CELEBRATE spring in Michigan when it comes, don't we??
